Women In Clubs

We are proud to announce that our first "Women In Clubs" Pink Ribbon Breakfast at Club Helensvale on Friday the 24th of October was a success.  We raised $2593 on the day to help support Breast Cancer Research.

It was a pink day to remember with over 80 attendees most wearing several shades of pink to show their support. We sold out of our Pink Ribbon Merchandise and now know to have more on hand for next year's event.

Julie Brunt from Club Helensvale was a FANTASTIC hostess with the mostess! The place looked amazing!! Pink balloons, pink napkins & pink centre pieces and of course the employees were dressed in Pink Ribbon T-shirts with Pink Ribbon name tags. When Julie commits to an event she goes all out.

Our guest speaker, Mark Wood was extremely inspirational and I don't think there was one dry set of eyes in the room. His main goal in speaking after losing his wife to her battle against Breast Cancer in December 2007, is to not only raise runds for Breast Cancer Research but to raise awareness of how to self diagnose and be proactive in detecting early stages of Breast Cancer.

Breast Cancer won't wait. Eveything else can. No matter how busy you are - if you find a change in your breast, see your doctor without delay.

Early detection is vital to surviving breast cancer.
